About Wellspring

A small charity, a clear job

Wellspring Water Trust brings safe drinking water to rural communities in northern Ghana. We have done it quietly since 2016.

Our story

Why Wellspring started

Wellspring Water Trust is a registered charity, number 1187654, founded in 2016. Our director is Naomi Okafor.

We started because clean water is the first thing everything else depends on. Health, school, time, dignity. A single well can change all of them for a whole village. So we chose to do one thing well: fund good wells, and make sure they keep working.

Since then we have built 214 wells and reached about 96,000 people across 3 districts of northern Ghana.
